This time i wanna try something new, i wanna talk about movie \^^/
This is my first time , so I’m very sorry if some of you didn’t like my reviews or you have read other review in another blog. I just wanna keep my blog alive since i’m off for a months cause my task T.T
Well... for my first time, i like to review Korean movie “A Werewolf Boy”, fantasy romance. Maybe you wondering why I always talk about Korean or K-Pop. Well... i love them, but I try to talk about another. #okay, back to the topic :D
This movie is starring with Song Joong-ki as Werewolf Boy and Park Bo-young as Young Suni and Eunjoo (I love Bo-Young eonni, she have beautiful face and voice. And I like her movie “speed scandal” she shows her excellent voice :D). Suni is Eunjoo’s grandmother and this movie tells about Suni’s young story.
Suni lives in America with her family, she moved there since teenagers. She moved to America cause she has to get some medicinal treatment for her lungs. One day, someone calls her and said that she has to comeback to South Korea, so shes back.
As she arrived at Korea, her granddaughter, Eun-joo pick her up from airport and go to the place where Sumi have lived before. All the memories she had at that place flowing in her head, all of them.
Sumi and her family moved to that house for Sumi’s health. She has to get some fresh air for her lungs. They have nice neighbour that always help them and warm. But, Sumi’s family moved with someone help, Ji-tae. If you think that Ji-tae is a nice guy, you wrong. He is son of the business partner of Suni's late father and he’s so arrogant and foppish. He think that he own the house, and the family.
At night, before sleep, Sumi write diary to express what her feeling about her life, and she hates her life, like she always write about die and die. When she tried to sleep, sounds is hear. With lack of braveness, she came out of house and looked for that weird sound. In front of their house, there’s a barn, so dirty and stink. With broom in her hand, she entered and found door in the inside. She opened the door and scary thing with red eyes is looking at her, as she frighten, that thing is run leaves Sumi with her scream.
In the morning, when Sumi and her mother do laundry in the yard, Sumi saw something weird in wood pile near the barn. Her mom saw too and try to look closely and found out that he is a feral boy of about 19 crouching in their yard. The boy's body temperature is 46 degrees Celsius, his blood type unidentifiable, and he can neither read nor speak.
Sumi’s mother keep him in their house and named him Chul-Soo. Chul-Soo keep the family save from Ji-tae who always make some trouble with the family.
At first, Sumi didn’t like if Chul-Soo lives with her, but at last, Sumi teach Chul-Soo manner. With “How’s teaching Dog” book, she teach Chul-Soo with word “No” and “Wait”. She teach him one by one and always pat his head if he listening well. She teach him how to tie shoes, eat, write and read.
But, Ji-tae hate Chul-Soo and tried to make Chul-Soo leave. Fail, he try to keep Sumi away from him and that days is come. Sumi has to go to America when Chul-Soo not home. She write letter and leave it in that barn where Chul-Soo sleep.
Sumi decide to sleep at that home for one night with her granddaughter. At midnight, Sumi awake and hear step voice, she walk out and entering the barn. Full of plants and the door... that door still there with some light. As she opened the door, Chul Soo sit at his bed with his eyes opened wide. He still same, without aging. He gives the letter that Sumi wrotes when she leaves years ago, “Wait until I back”, and Chul-Soo wait Sumi for years.
Sumi’s crying and says that she’s sorry for that, and miracle is shown. Chul-Soo speak. He’s read book that Sumi gives for him years ago.
This movie tell us about loyalty and loving about each other. I have to say that Joong-Ki’s acting is GREAT :D
It hard to acted without speaking any lines, you have to tell it through your eyes and body language.
